I have not always agreed with the pronouncements of Sir Ian Gilmore but I have to say I think he is spot on with this one. It is a pity he could not have made it at the time when David Nutt said much the same thing.

I would be interested to know which of Professor Gilmore's pronouncements you didn't agree with. His views on alcohol consumption and the need for sensible pricing of this extremely dangerous substance have always seemed perfectly reasonable to me.
